Calling all showgirls! Here's a chance to make a dream come true! On February 24, The Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts will honor William Ivey Long with A Gala Musical Tribute, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. (The evening will also include a seated black-tie dinner and a desert VIP After Party, all of which is invitation only). The producers need some SHOWGIRLS, ladies, to perform in one scene during the show. If you have always wanted to wear a William Ivey Long costume to strut your stuff in front of an audience, we need you to respond to this request by calling 803-984-0986. We need ladies from age18 to the 40's, all races and ethnic types, who have a show girl figure and good legs. (Bonus points if you own your own nude dance shoes!). FYI: These costumes are often sheer and peek-a-boo styles, representing many of William Ivey Long's Broadway shows. All you'd have to do is come to a fitting February 23 and a rehearsal on the day of the Gala. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian would need to be present for any fitting or dressing. There is no compensation. Do it for the fun of it!! More instructions later! We need at least 10 (and maybe a few more) willing ladies to strut their sass in absolutely gorgeous William Ivey Long costumes! Call the above number or respond on this post.
